Got tipped off about an old Paramount "musical revue" comedy called ARTISTS AND MODELS ABROAD with the legendary Jack Benny, and to my surprise, there's something in it for us.
Midway through the film, a performing troupe in Paris skips out on an expensive hotel bill, and as they're chased by French gendarmes, they break into a darkened department store, and after Jack strikes up a conversation with a mannequin, they get the idea to pose in plain sight to evade the cops when they penetrate the store.
The movie has never gotten a VHS or DVD release, I don't know if its even played on TCM. Of all places, I found a rogue upload on a Russian pr0n site (!!!).
