Prefered Filehost

So I have some old films I plan to share, but I want to get a feel from the community on which method you all prefer. I am inclined to use rapidshare, mainly because it offers a superior download experience if you pay, and the uploading mechanism is easier to use (imo).

I am not against torrents, but for them to work, people have to continue to share, and judging by past experience that can be a daunting task. If everyone was a member of a private site where ratios are tracked, it works well - but out in the open, on public trackers, there is no incentive to seed - and so people don't.

I don't plan to make clips of these films, so in this poll think about 600-1.5GB files, and I will leave it to the community to clip if they desire.

For files that big personally I wouldn't even attempt to download them from anything other than a torrent.

For smaller "clips" I would prefer rapidshare as it still is the best.

Mediafire due to it being less invasive with the passwords and free vs public user issues. Torrents for large files are still key though.

Torrent, torrent, torrent and torrent

Torrent:
- You just need a small client. It may start slow but can get up to large amount of speed compared to other traditional mechanisms. And it's also the only way you can pause, continue, resume, etc... downloads. And it's open source.

MediaFire: No complains, of this services I think it's the best.

Rapidshare:
- Speed limitation
- Wait for non-paid accounts
- Rarely slot-limited

MegaUpload:
- Speed limitation
- Wait for non-paid accounts
- Usually slotAndCountry-limited

Definitely Mediafire.

Rapidshare and Megaupload have too many drawbacks.
