i downloaded on iTunes a while ago...and i lost a bunch of my files and it's gone. and now iTunes doesn't sell it anymore.

is there somewhere else i can download this??? i'm willing to pay for it.

if you have netflix and search for "2005 Academy Award Short Films Collection" it will bring up a DVD, with one of the short films being Cashback.

if i really like it i will buy it but it's 24.95 which is kinda expensive for a film, esp. a short one.

has anyone that has seen the full version??? is it better??? i've only seen a three minute or so clip. does the full version show a lot more of the frozen girls???

In select cities (basically, any that have Landmark Theatre affiliates), CASHBACK will get a theatrical release timed to the DVD release - it's a pattern they've done before with movies like Steven Soderburgh's BUBBLE and Hal Hartley's HENRY FOOL.

So some of you can enjoy big screen freeze action if you're lucky.

i hope i'm one of the lucky cities. we get a lot of movies here, even the obscure, indie, and foreign ones--which i love. if not, i'll settle for the dvd. lol.

The movie was supposed to be released on DVD July 24th, so I checked Ebay if they carried it and they do. But they don't specify if it is the short film or the full-length version. Has anyone seen it? Is it worth it?

i downloaded the whole movie... worth it for the lady-lovers... there are a few scenes with ben's new interest being frozen that are not in the short... towards the end of the movie he kisses her at a party and freezes time while he's kissing her - she unfreezes after about a minute and they walk out of the party together.

There's five major freeze scenes, the first of which is a reprise of the scene from the short film with a little bit extra thrown in for good measure. The other four scenes are at a soccer match, the grocery store again, and at two different parties, though none of those have any nudity. Personally, I liked the movie regardless of the freezing (of course, that helped), and it's certainly worth at least a rental. Incidentally, I got it from Netflix the day it was released, so if you really want to see the clips you could get it that way (hint hint).

I looked up the movie on Amazon (yes, it's now on order) and they list a running time of 90min. Kinda long for a short.

i just wanted to add my thoughts on the movie which i finally saw.

the best scene in the dvd is almost identical to the one in the short. with him sketching a bunch of frozen girls, posed differently, half naked, clothes kinda on and off.

the movie has some additional scenes of the girl that the guy has a crush on or whatever. he's like wanting to date her, dating her, they are close-ups and he sketches her.

there is another freeze scene near the end where this other chick kisses him and his love interest sees it, and he freezes time, but that one is not so good.

if i could figure out torrents i wish i could download it. as it is i have a c lip of the short film that will have to suffice until i can afford the dvd.

Torrents are basically get torrent the link that was posted open it with your client program and let it start downloading

there are websites that have the (links) torrents
isohunt.com mininova.org demonoid.com and many others

here's a few FYI's
if you do download for websites or anywhere else. the rule of Thumb is the more seed's (seed a person with 100% of the file) the faster you'll get it. when you are done downloading you become a seed. also deleting a torrent from utorrent does not delete the data unless you tell it to
